{And the First Days of Life}

While I do really like the organic, airy feel that comes from processing my images with soft black and white tones as well as pastel tones in my newborn photography, I also like a punch of color. This hand knit cocoon wrap definitely calls for that! It knits up quickly and is the perfect prop for wrapping up a newborn. I think little Kaelyn looks quite comfy here don't you think?

Don't you just love them?! It wasn't so long ago that I was in this moms state. I always love to capture moms just before they delivery and here are a few from yesterdays "Bellies to Babies" session....

{Happy New Year 2009!}

It has been what seems like forever since I updated the blog! Things have been very busy to say the least between Christmas and New Year's on the personal side. We have moved out of our home in the new year to start a large scale renovation. Things have settled down now and we are adjusting to living outside of Arlington for the time being. I will still be taking sessions in and around the Arlington area so don't worry! :) During these cold winter months and before the outdoor season begins I am taking on many maternity and newborn sessions so please let me know if you are near delivery and would like to schedule your session. If you mention this blog you will get $25 in print credit towards your newborn session! Remember that newborns are best photographed at their ripest....i.e. within the first 6 days of life. In the meantime here are a few captures of my tiniest one.... no longer a newborn but still an infant. Oh my, where does the time go!!!!!! He is already 4.5 months old.

I just wanted to give an update as to my availability for the remainder of 2008. I am now full and no longer scheduling sessions this holiday season. {Update and Sisters}

I am back from my maternity leave and happy to get back into it all.... with a big preschool shoot recently, my regular sessions and putting together Christmas cards for those wanting to include their pictures from their shoots! I have many cute designs to choose from! In the meantime take a look at these very cute sisters at a recent session. So much love! :)

{He's here!!!}

And it's a boy! Here are a few pictures from my mini photo session (at 5 days old) of my own newest love, Garrett Eastwood, born September 10, 2008 at 11:59pm weighing 8 pounds 13 ounces and 20.5 inches long. He arrived, to our surprise, 2 weeks early and we are so happy to welcome him into our lives and making Owen a big brother now.
